China forecasts August soy imports down to 2.08 million tonnes
China, the world's top soy importer, forecasted imports in August will decline to 2.08 million tonnes, down from 4.69 million tonnes estimated for July.
China's commerce ministry, in its latest report, revised downward its July soy import forecast from its previous estimate of 4.82 million tonnes. The latest estimate for July was only slightly lower than actual arrivals of 4.71 million tonnes in June.
