EuroTier 2006 to present numerous bio-energy innovations
Press release
Bio-energy innovations presented at EuroTier in Hanover from Nov 14-17, 2006, can be nominated for the prestigious EuroTier innovations awards. The independent international expert jury consisting of 24 members this year welcomes three bio-energy specialists, who will be evaluating the innovations proposed by companies in this sector.
The bio-energy platform BioEnergyEurope at EuroTier is being launched for the first time this year. More than 230 companies from the bio-energy industry, covering a full range of products from biogas and bio-fuels based on manure and crops to solar and wind energy, have registered to exhibit at EuroTier.
With the exhibition space in Hall 27 currently covering an area of over 11,000 square metres, the venue will host the world's largest bio-energy exhibition.
The innovations awards campaign at EuroTier, culminating in Silver and Gold awards, allows exhibitors to nominate innovations presented at the exhibition. The submission deadline is August 15 and listed companies will benefit from numerous communication opportunities, since their innovations are publicised in advance of the show. Companies can nominate innovative solutions in the cattle, pig and aquaculture production categories, and now also in the field of bio-energy.
Increased investment and interest in renewable energy represent an opportunity for the agricultural industry. Germany is one of the leading international players in the bio-energy sector, investing more than EUR5 billion in 2005 alone.
EuroTier is Europe's leading exhibition for the animal husbandry industry. Now in its seventh year, it covers all aspects of production and management in animal husbandry.
The event also features a comprehensive technical programme, addressing topical issues through presentations, discussions and practical demonstrations. Subjects explored in depth include feeding hygiene, traceability in the piggery and cutting-edge genetics for cattle. At present, more than 1,200 companies from 37 countries have booked stands in the huge exhibition grounds, and more than 400 of these hail from outside Germany.
