Russia's January-June meat output up 12%, milk up 16%
 

 

Compared to the same period last year, Russia produced 11.6% more meat, or 100,000 tonnes in live weight and 16.2% more milk, or 800,000 tonnes in January-June this year.

 

The number of livestock rose 20% to two million heads, while the number milk cows grew 25.9% to 941,200 heads.

 

Small farms belonging to households produced 1.3 million tonnes of meat, up 4.6% on the year and 7.5 million tonnes of milk, down 0.2% on the year.
