Ukraine becomes major grain exporter in Black Sea region
Following the grain exports ban in Russia, Ukraine has got the upper hand in grain exports from the Black Sea region.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for Agricultural Policy Viktor Slauta, there is no reason to limit grain exports.
Gross production of grain will be 42-43 million tonnes, he predicted.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, grain surplus was recalculated on July 28, 2010. According to the data, the export potential of Ukraine is about 16 million tonnes, of which the country has already exported nearly one million tonnes.
