Shanxi is the third largest egg exporting province in China

According to Shanxi's Entry-Exit, Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the northern Chinese province is now the third largest export-quality egg producer in the country.

In the first half of this year, Shanxi delivered 110 million eggs to Hong Kong. Only Liaoning and Hubei provinces are ahead of Shanxi in terms of egg production.

So far, ten Shanxi egg farms located in the districts of Wenshui, Qixian and Wuxiang had been awarded export license by the central government. The combined inventory of 1.47 million export-quality chicken layers in these farms is capable of producing 268 million eggs annually.
