Russia lifts import restrictions on Brazilian pork & beef
Russia is lifting temporary restrictions on imports of pork, beef and raw pork and beef products from the Brazilian state of Matu-Grossu as of Wednesday (Aug 10).
However, only products made after Jul 1, 2006 would be allowed to enter Russia, the Prime-Tass economic news agency reported.
A Russian Agriculture Ministry report said Russia imposed temporary restrictions on meat imports from the Brazilian state in December last year due to the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.
