Ukraine to provide over 21 million tonnes grain in 2012-13
Ukraine will be able to supply 21-23 million tonnes of grains on foreign markets in 2012-13 marketing year.
This was forecasted by Sergey Kvasha, Director of the department of economic development and agrarian market of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on August 8.
At the same time, Kvasha clarified that the general export volumes will include five million tonnes of wheat and three million tonnes of barley.
As a reminder, on July 25, 2012, Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy, estimated the potential of grain exports from the country in the current season within the range of 20-21 million tonnes.
