A large oil crops storage base invested by the China Grain Reserves Corp has been put into operation in the Harbour Economic Developing Zone in Tangshan, Hebei province.
This base, located near Tangshan harbour, has four oils warehouses and 36 soy warehouses capable of storing 360,000 tonnes of soy. The existing storage capacity has made it the largest oil crop warehouse base in north China.
As a base for transferring, storing, and processing oil and oil crops, the project required a total investment of RMB1.18 billion (US$183.4 million).
