Ukrainian poultry system conforms to EU standards
Ukrainian system of control over the poultry and egg products subjected to export to the EU is in a line with the European standards, a European Commission (EC) report says.
The report states that Ukraine managed to introduce efficient system of control and hold regular inspection of quality at the Ukrainian enterprises and poultry farms.
It also points to the importance of introducing additional measures to provide proper maintenance of animals at slaughterhouses.
The inspectors of the Directorate General for Health and Consumer Affairs completed the audit of Ukrainian poultry enterprises in late May, an earlier report shows.
