Brazil's pork exports surge from January to July this year

 

 

Brazil's pork exports totalled US$669.350 million from January to July this year, an 80.39 percent year-on-year rise, according to industry reports.

 

Meanwhile, average pork export price for January to July rose 38.04 percent year-on-year, to US$1,898/tonne.

 

Russia was the main export market during the same period, importing 223,634 tonnes of Brazilian pork, up 39 percent year-on-year.

 

In July, Brazilian pork export value rose 82.5 percent year-on-year to US$116.339 million. Export volume rose 40 percent year-on-year to 60,873 tonnes.
