China's Guangdong province conducts aquacultural veterinarian training

Authorities in China's Guangdong province have organised the region's first training programme to produce aquacultural veterinarians.

To be conducted over a 15-day period, the intensive programme includes courses covering the areas of aquacultural disease prevention, basic knowledge of fish medication, fish recipe normalisation and fish disease diagnosis.

Trainees include professionals specialising in aquaculture epidemic prevention and quarantine from the province's Foshan and Zhanjiang areas.

Trainees who complete the programme will also become China's first batch of piscatorial veterinarians.
