Russian company to launch grain processing plant in Rostov Region
A grain processing plant to produce amino acids worth RUB6.75 billion (US$214 million) will be launched in Russia's Rostov Region city of Volgondonsk at the end of 2014 by Russian agricultural company Don Biotechnologies.
Don Biotechnologies, previously known as Rusbiotekh, is a joint venture of Germany's industrial group Evonik Industries and Russian Agroindustrial Trust (RAPT).
The plant's capacity is to amount to 250,000 tonnes of grain per year and could be increased to 500,000 tonnes.
The project is being implemented with the support of the regional government.
