Ukraine's H1 agricultural output up three percent

During the first half of 2009,Ukraine's agricultural production increased 2.6 percent, according to the State Statistics Committee.

In the first six months of 2009, the general volume of plant growing products output increased 4.9 percent on-year.

During the period, the average sale prices of Ukrainian agricultural products declined 22 percent on-year, with average sale prices of plant growing products decreasing 37 percent.

In June 2009, the average sale prices of agricultural products dropped by two percent compared to May, including plant growing products by seven percent.
