China's 2006 soybean output likely to fall to 15.9 million tonnes

 

 

National Grain and Oil Information Centre, a major government backed think-tank in China's agricultural sector, said that the country's soybean production for 2006 is expected to drop 2.7 percent to 15.9 million tonnes Friday (Aug 4).

 

The following table includes the NGOIC's estimates in August of this year's output and acreage of major crops. (The estimates are due to be released at the beginning of every month.)
