Cherkizovo appoints new head of Pork Division

 
 

 

Russian meat and feed producer, Cherkizovo Group, has appointed Alexander Zhukovsky as head of the company's Pork Division.


As part of his responsibilities, Zhukovsky will oversee 14 pork complexes and 3 feed mills, with aims to reduce the prime cost of production and boost operational indicators.


Zhukovsky, who once served in the military, had occupied leadership roles in some major companies. During 1995 to 1998, he was employed as a production manager at food company, Mars. This was followed by a three-year term as general manager at Ivano Brewing Company (InBev Group). Zhukovsky then moved on to become the vice president of operations and executive director at Istok and BridgeTown Foods, respectively.


Before joining Cherkizovo, Zhukovsky's last appointments include operations director and senior procurement director at PepsiCo Russia.


Zhukovsky holds a Ph.D and an MBA degree under a joint programme between the Russian Academy of National Economy and the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He was also a graduate from the Riga Higher Military Aviation Engineering School and Air Force Engineering Academy in Moscow, Russia.
