Taiwan buys Brazilian corn for October
Taiwan's Maize Industry Procurement Association has bought 50,000 tonnes of Brazilian corn from trading company Bunge for shipment during the Oct 1-15 period, trading executives said Thursday (Aug 6).
They said the purchase has been made in a tender on a cost and freight basis at 208.97 cents a bushel over the December corn futures contract on the Chicago Board of Trade.
CBOT December corn futures closed 11 cents, or 2.7%, higher Wednesday at US$4.15/bushel.
