Brazilian Soy Crushers Acquire 28.1 Million Tons Of Soy During Feb-Jun 2004

Soy crushers operating in Brazil acquired 28.1 million tons of soybeans from February - June 2004, according to the Brazilian Oilseeds Association.

Crushing also generated 2.2 million tons of oil, out of which 884,000 tons were exported, and 1.1 million tons were sold on the domestic market during February - June 2004.

From February - June 2004, 14,000 tons of soy oil were imported, and crushers' stocks reached 358,000 tons by 30 June 2004.
