Servolux to build US$67-million poultry farm
Headquartered in the UK, Servolux, plans to build a RUB2-billion (US$67 million) poultry farm in Russia's Smolensk Region.
The agreement was signed Wednesday (Aug 4) between regional Governor Sergei Antufyev and Yevgeny Baskin, Servolux' representative in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The farm is expected to have a capacity of 50,000 tonnes of broilers per year and is slated to reach full capacity in November 2013. The facility is to be located in the region's Kardymovsky district.
Servolux, founded in 1999, focuses on the implementation of agricultural projects in Eastern Europe.
