Kazakhstan increases grain supplies to Azerbaijan

Exports of Kazakh grain to Azerbaijan in 2010 increased by two times compared to last year, according to the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.

"Last year, supplies of Kazakh grain to Azerbaijan totalled 256,600 tonnes. But the volume of supplies totalled 547,800 tonnes in the first six months of 2010," the ministry said.

Meabwhile, the national grain company "Food Contract Corporation" believes that deliveries of Kazakh grain could have been even higher if Azerbaijan did not impose customs duty on imported grain in Azerbaijan.
