CP Prima's sales fall 22%
Shrimp producer PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk's (CPRO) sales declined 22% to IDR2.77 trillion (USD307.7 million), from IDR3.56 trillion (USD395.5 million) in the previous year.
CP Prima has recorded a net loss of IDR270.5 billion (USD30 million) in the first half of the year, compared to an IDR58.3-billion (USD6.47 million) profit on-year.
As the value of goods sold fell by 14% to IDR2.54 trillion (USD282.2 million), the company recorded a gross profit of IDR231 billion (USD25.66 million), lower than the IDR611.6 billion (USD68 million) it recorded last year.
The company booked an operating loss of IDR255.3 billion (USD28.36 million), compared to last year's operating profit of IDR98 billion (USD10.88 million).
As of 30 June, 2010, CP Prima's assets totaled IDR8.4 trillion (USD933.2 million) while liability amounted to IDR5.47 trillion (USD607.7 million).
