Finland's Vataja sold to Global NG

Finnish meat product company Maalaistuote Vataja has been sold to Global NG, a holding company owned by GSS-Export which exports meat products to Russia.

According to the chairman of Global NG, Sergei Medvedev, particularly Vataja's special products are of interest to the Russians. Some of Vataja's products have been awarded the Allergy and Asthma Federation's allergy label, and some products are free from nitrites or additives.

Maalaistuote Vataja Ltd was founded in 1970. The company's turnover last year was 8.8 million and result in almost 1.3 million. By the new owner Global NG's largest owner of GSS-Export, Medvedev sees significant growth potential. Medvedev has held several other houses of meat exports to Russia for years.
