Denmark recalls salmonella-infected chickens
Denmark has recalled whole chickens in several supermarket chains across the country.
The whole chicken product from the Simply Food company is sold in Denmark by supermarket chains SuperBest, Kvik Spar, Spar and SuperSpar.
The food authorities advise customers to throw the product out or return it to the place of purchase, according to Copenhagen Post.
The company reported that the whole chickens are infected with a multi-resistant strain of salmonella, which is hard to treat with antibiotics.
