Russia lifts Finnish cattle import ban
Russia will be lifting its Finnish cattle ban come this September, said Russian Federal Service's Sanitary and Fito-Sanitary Control chief Sergei Dankvert on Aug 3.
Cattle from Finland were banned in May 2003 after reported BSE cases there.
Dankvert added that cattle imports must meet the country's veterinary demands before they could enter the local market.
