Russia's grain export volumes in July 2012 may reach 1.5-1.6 million tonnes.
At the same time, Igor Pavensky, head of the analysis sector of department of strategic marketing of CJSC "Rusagrotrans" reminded that in July 2011, just after cancellation of the "grain embargo", the export volumes reached 2.52 million tonnes.
According to the forecast of I.Pavensky, in August 2012 the exports may increase to 2.5-2.7 million tonnes. In the current year the general grain harvest will total nearly 77.4 million tonnes. In the terms of such harvest, the possible export potential reaches the level of 13 million tonnes, he said, adding that the index may be even higher in the terms of selling of intervention fund grains.
The Ministry of Agriculture estimates the export potential of the Russian Federation in the current agricultural year within 12 million tonnes, the grain harvest - 75-80 million tonnes.
