Cherkizovo's January-June poultry sales up 34%
 

 

In January-June, Cherkizovo Group's poultry sales rose 34% on year to 158,345 tonnes in dead weight.

 

Pork sales grew 14% to 46,764 tonnes in live weight. The sales of processed meat products fell 11% to about 70,097 tonnes, mainly due to the closure of a slaughterhouse in southern Russia, the company said.

 

The average poultry price rose 3% to RUB73.61 (US$2.26) per kilogramme excluding VAT, the average pork price rose 5% to RUB81.32 (US$2.50) per kilogramme and the average processed meat price went up 13% to RUB144.11 (US$4.40) per kilogramme.
