China's grain prices up slightly in July
Grain purchasing prices in China's major grain producing areas and grain retail prices in 36 large-and medium-sized cities rose moderately in July, said the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Monday (Aug 2).
The purchasing prices of red wheat, white wheat, and mixed wheat averaged RMB1.97 (US$0.29)/kg, up 1.21% from June.
The average purchasing corn price arrived at RMB1.836 (US$0.27)/kg, rising 1.98% from June.
The retail prices of special flour and standard flour increased to RMB3.92 (US$0.58)/kg and RMB3.54 (US$0.52)/kg respectively.
