Vietnamese firm builds first safe poultry abattoir
On July 30, Nhat Long Trade and Service Co. Ltd started building the first safe poultry abattoir in the central province of Vietnam worth VND28-billion (US$1.47 million).
Specifically situated in Binh Hiep commune, Binh Son district of the central province of Quang Ngai, the abattoir has a designed capacity of 500 poultry per hour, said the company's Director Duong Nhat Long.
It is the first of its kind in the province. "Once operational in July 2011, the abattoir will provide safe poultry for local economic zones like Dung Quat EZ and Doosan," the director added.
