Vitamin C market stable but lacks momentum in China

Vitamin C producers stood firm while the demand from the aquaculture remained strong despite disruptions in the coastal regions. Nonetheless, the market lacked momentum as buyers who have stockpiled substantial inventories limited purchases.

As of July 29, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C remained at RMB24-25/kg.

With production in excess, prices are unlikely to rise significantly even with robust support from the aquaculture sector.
