GEA clinches NZ milk line order
Germany-based processing equipment giant GEA Group has won a EUR20-million (US$26-million) order for a milk powder processing plant in New Zealand, as more companies in the country work to boost capacity to meet growing demand for dairy products in China.
The facility, to be built for Miraka Ltd of New Zealand by August 2011, will have an annual processing capacity of over one million litres of milk per day.
The contract was the fifth won by the GEA Process Engineering in New Zealand since 2007, GEA said.
