Ferrous sulphate prices buck market trends in China amid tighter supplies

Cupric sulphate

With production costs low, producers of cupric sulphate lowered prices while demand stayed weak in a bid to entice buyers.

As of July 29, transaction prices of cupric sulphate were lower in the range of RMB13,500-13,950/tonne.

China's bleak economic outlook will keep copper futures market soft, putting a lid on the prices of cupric sulphate.

Zinc sulphate

Supplies of zinc sulphate were ample while production costs remained low with zinc futures market staying weak. Hence, zinc sulphate producers readily negotiated prices while demand remained slack.

Zinc sulphate prices are seen stable to lower on light demand and plentiful supplies.

Manganese sulphate

Poor demand for poultry feed continued to exert pressure on manganese sulphate market during the period in review.
Reduction in the output of manganese sulphate will likely lend support to the market.

Ferrous sulphate

Several titanium dioxide producers halted operation of late amid environmental concerns, resulting in tighter supplies of ferrous sulphate.
Unless supplies tighten further prices of ferrous sulphate are expected to consolidate around current levels after the recent upsurge.
