Russia harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 10.8 million hectares or 24.1% of the planned areas, and yield 24.8 million tonnes of grains with average yield of 23 centners/hectare as of July 26, 2012.
In the same period of 2011 agrarians produced 25.3 million tonnes of grains, according to operative data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
As of the reporting date in 2012, Russia harvested wheat throughout 7.9 million hectares, and produced 19.4 million tonnes of the grain with the yield of 24.6 centners/hectare (c/ha). In the same period of 2011 wheat production in Russia totalled 17.5 million tonnes.
Agrarians harvested barley throughout the areas of 959,900 hectares, and produced 2.2 million tonnes of the grain with the yield of 22.5 c/ha (in 2011 - 2.3 million tonnes).
