Brazil's Sadia builds megacomplex in Mato Grosso
Sadia, a major meat processing company in Brazil, is currently building a megacomplex for pork processing, poultry slaughtering and feed production in the city of Lucas do Rio Verde in the state of Mato Grosso.
Sadia already owns a complex in Varzeo Grande, in the same state.
The company has already financed 435 million real (US$230 million) of the 790 million real (US$417 million) investment. The complex is slated for completion in 2008.
Two poultry slaughtering lines and a logistics centre have already begun operations.
