China's Sichuan receives first batch of vaccines against pig disease
China's Sichuan province received its first batch of vaccines against the deadly pig disease that has claimed over 30 lives so far.
About 160 boxes of vaccines, enough for 350,000 pigs, were flown to Sichuan where the disease was first detected, according to the official Xinhua press agency.
Xinhua added that larger quantities of the vaccine, enough for 10 million pigs, were being made and would be sent to affected areas. The vaccine supplier was quoted as Yongshun biomedical.
Government experts have also monitored the first massive production of vaccines for this type of disease.
