China Whey Weekly: Whey prices surge 9% in five weeks (week ended Jul 30, 2012)
As the drought in the US looked set to diminish the output of milk and alfalfa, whey importers continued to lift prices during the period in review. Demand strengthened while availability stayed low, hence lending support to the price hikes.
