British beef exports remain strong

 

 

Beef exports from United Kingdom were worth 122 million GBP (British pounds) or US$247.97 million in the year up to the end of April with seventy percent coming from England.

 

Latest government figures show exports of boneless cuts was the top export at 53 million GBP, while sales of beef in carcase form was valued at 29.5 million GBP.

 

Top destinations for beef exports were: Ireland (23.5 million GBP), France (11 million GBP) and the Netherlands (9.9 million GBP).

 

The launch of "Rosbifs Club" is UK's strategy in developing markets for premium quality beef targeted for Italy and France.
