OSI withdraws meat products produced by China Unit

In the midst of a food scandal in China, OSI Group is withdrawing all products produced by its Shanghai-based Husi unit from the market, the Illinois-based company announced.
The company was thrust into the spotlight last week when it was reported that its Shanghai plant had repackaged old beef and chicken and applied new expiration dates on them. In the meantime, OSI is conducting an investigation into the actions of current and former managers and had appointed a new management team to China.
The company supplies meat for some of the world's most popular foods, including those at McDonald's restaurants.
