China methionine prices weak amid domestic supply rise
Prices of methionine were stable to lower during the week ending July 30.
China's methionine prices hit new yearly low levels during the period in review as demand continued to stay flat while sellers compete to move sales.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were in the range of RMB26.10-27/kg.
With domestic output on the rise, imports are expected to shrink further. The strong competition will likely drag prices further down as well.
