China's August soy imports seen at 3.88 million tonnes

 
 

China's total imports of soy in August are expected to reach 3.88 million tonnes, preliminary estimates by the Ministry of Commerce showed.

 

It also said total imports for July are likely to reach 5.59 million tonnes, according to figures cited by the China National Grains and Oils Information Centre on Wednesday (Jul 28).

 

China's soy imports reached a record high of 6.2 million tonnes in June.

 

The ministry said imports of soyoil were likely to reach 200,000 tonnes in July, with rapeseed imports at 229,000 tonnes and rapeseed oil at 202,000 tonnes.
