Ukraine poultry prices move up in June
                       

 

Ukraine's poultry meat prices have increased as much as 8.5 percent in June to reach a maximum price of UAH19.45 per kg.

 

Poultry prices have increased to UAH17.7 to UAH19.45 per kg in June, up between 0.3 and 6.4 percent from May, according to Agro Perspectiva in Kiev.

 

A spokesman for the Ministry of Economics also reported a survey of prices at 20 regional markets. Four of the markets saw prices in June fall to UAH17.68 to UAH18.83 per kg, down 0.5 to 6.7 percent compared to the previous month. The minimum price of UAH17.68 per kg was reported for the Zaporizhia region while the maximum price of UAH19.5 was reported for the Sevastopol region.

 

In 24 markets, poultry meat prices in shops rose to between UAH17.45 and UAH18.78 per kg, up 0.1 and 8.5 percent from the May 2009. The highest shop prices of UAH18.78 per kg were in Rivne region, while the lowest price of UAH17.45 per kg was in Khmelnytskiy.
