BASF appoints new head of Singapore and managing director of ASEAN

BASF has appointed Boon Yeow Yee as Head of BASF Singapore and Managing Director of the BASF ASEAN sub-region, effective August 1, 2009.
He succeeds John Duncan Fastier who is retiring at the end of August. Yee is currently the Managing Director of BASF Malaysia and will continue in this role in addition to his new appointment.
Yee joined BASF (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. in 1989 and subsequently held various management positions with BASF in the Asia Pacific region. He has a degree in Pharmacy from the University Sains Malaysia, Penang and an executive MBA from the University of Bath, UK.
