Argentine group seeks to get farm export tax duties removed

The Argentine Rural Society is determined to gradually eliminate the grain export tax duties within the next five years.

"We'll ask what we have been asking since long ago. We want the government to eliminate the grain tax duties, and the immediate reduction of the soy export tax duties," the head of the Argentine Rural Society, Hugo Biolcati said.

Regarding the heated comments made by the head of the Argentine Rural Federation (FAA), Eduardo Buzzi, Biolcatti downplayed the whole situation and said, "It was just another of the many discussions we have had within the liaison board, nothing more. I'd like to highlight that the merit of the board throughout these years is that we have been united even with the diversity and differences of its members."
