Vietnamese firms increase milk prices again
Vietnam's dairy companies have once again increased the price of milk products.
According to the firm Dumex milk, the company has increased prices of 17 products with strong growth: one milk product has increased from VND304,000 (US$15.92) to VND334,000 (US$17.50) per box; another kind increased from VND265,000 (US$13.88) to VND293,000 (US$15.35) per box; and a 400g-Dulac increased from VND107,000 (US$5.61) to VND118,000 (US$6.18) per box.
Dutch Lady Brand Packaging had about 6% price increase. Specifically, the price of Dutch Lady's liquid milk and yogurt drink increased to VND250,000 (US$13.10) per 180ml box.
Dumex said airline rates and milk prices continue to rise forcing the company to increase prices.
