China imports 475,964 tonnes cotton in June

The cotton imports of China totalled 475,964 tonnes in June, higher than the previous year's 119,997 tonnes, the General Administration of Customs said Monday (July 23).

January-June imports stood at 3.05 million tonnes, up from 1.33 million tonnes.

China is the world's top cotton producer, consumer and importer.
