South Korea beef importers prepare for Chuseok
Australian beef exporters have reported another solid week of trade with South Korea as Chuseok approaches.
Australia exported 6,684 tonnes swt of beef to South Korea from July 1-20 this year.
Prices for Australian short rib increased week-on-week, although US short rib prices dropped for the fourth consecutive week due to lack of demand.
South Korea importers are currently securing their stocks for the Chuseok (Harvest Festival) with relative ease as consumer demand remains flat, according to Meat & Livestock Australia.
