China lysine exports hit historical high in June
China's lysine exports in June hit a historical high of 15,180 tonnes, up significantly by 5,609 tonnes from May.
For the period from January to June 2006, China's lysine exports totalled 55,329 tonnes worth about US$50.44 million.
China's lysine exports to European, North American and South-east Asian countries rose significantly in June.
In particular, shipments to Dutch ports and Poland reached new record highs compared with recent months, exceeding 4,400 tonnes and 2,800 tonnes respectively.
Lysine exports to the US reached close to 1,000 tonnes, while total shipments to South-east Asian countries exceeded 2,000 tonnes.
