China's Qianxihe named exclusive pork supplier of 2008 Olympics

 

 

The Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad Wednesday (Jul 26) named Qianxihe Food Group Limited as the exclusive supplier of fresh pork and processed products for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games at a press conference in Beijing.

 

As an exclusive Supplier, Qianxihe would provide funds and pork products to the 29th Olympic Games.

 

Marketing Director of BOCOG Yuan Bin congratulated Qianxihe, saying that the supplier programme is an important component of Beijing Olympic Games Sponsorship Programme which not only serves the needs for various products, technologies and services at the Games, but also provides a unique platform for the development of foreign and Chinese companies.

 

She said she hoped that Qianxihe would take advantage of the unique Olympic marketing platform to promote its brand, promote efficiency, and achieve significant development.

 

Liu Yanyun, the Board Chairman of Qianxihe Group, said Qianxihe is at the forefront of the "agrindustrialization" of China.

 

The company provides pork for the army in Beijing and the departments under the Central Committee. Liu praised the company as a model of agricultural production processing.

 

Beijing Qianxihe Food Group Limited is located in Pinggu District of Beijing with assets of RMB553 million (US$69.2 million). Its main products include chilled meat and cooked meat products. The company also exports to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.

 

Since the Beijing 2008 Olympic Marketing Plan was launched in 2003, 11 enterprises have been selected as Beijing 2008 Partners.

 

The six Beijing 2008 Exclusive Suppliers are Mengna, Beifa, Vantage, YADU, Effem Foods (Beijing) and Qianxihe.
