China imports more methionine in June
China's methionine imports in June totalled 7,025 tonnes, up about 312 tonnes from May.
For the period from January to June 2006, China's methionine imports totalled 40,496 tonnes worth about US$85.13 million.
Combined import volume from Germany and Belgium totalled 2,600 tonnes, down 240 tonnes compared with the previous month.
Imports from Japan reached 2,987 tonnes, up 280 tonnes from May.
China's methionine imports from France rose by 200 tonnes from the previous month to reach 1,240 tonnes.
