China Imports 8,857 MT of Methionine in June 2004

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported a total of 8,857 metric tons of methionine in June 2004, up by 4,563 metric tons or 106.3% from May.

For the first half of this year from January to June, China's accumulative methionine imports amounted to 38,555 metric tons, a fall of 1,786 metric tons compared with the same period last year.

China imports methionine mainly from the USA, Europe and Japan.
