Feed Management Systems, Inc (FMS), a software developer for the animal feed and nutrition industry, has launched an updated version of feed formulation software, Brill® Formulation, which includes 30 new capabilities to help improve production efficiency, ingredient purchases, and formulation accuracy, thus reducing costs and increasing profitability.
According to the company, the recent features are developed based on feedback received by feed manufacturers. Augmented with additional data management capabilities and safeguard features which prevent input errors, the current Brill® Formulation 2.5 allows users to key in inputs and longer nutrient names for better search; handle a higher capacity for stored formula comments which is increased by 50 lines; edit plant codes more easily, delete a nutrient from all ingredients; and draw comparison between new and stored formulas. Users are also able to set precise adjustments to production minimal values to as low as 0.1% of batch weight, a feature which can save time and cost.
