China imports more fishmeal in June
China imported 87,020 tonnes of fishmeal in June, up 6.5 percent from May. This was, however, 5.3 percent lower compared with June 2006. For the first half of 2007, China's fishmeal imports totalled 521,461 tonnes, up 4 percent compared with H1 2006.
Imports in June were mainly from Peru (37,192 tonnes), Chile (24,070 tonnes) and Thailand (11,495 tonnes).
